Ensemble Proton Bern celebrates the release of its new Samuel Andreyev portrait CD with a monographic concert at the Galerie Univer in central Paris. The concert will feature five works, including the French premiere of Locus Solus for oboe. It will be followed by a roundtable discussion moderated by Arnaud Merlin, and an apéritif.
Samuel Andreyev is a Strasbourg-based composer with a long history of collaboration with Ensemble Proton Bern.
The CD and portrait concert are the culmination of an ambitious 2–year project involving the entire Ensemble. Andreyev’s music is rapidly becoming known across Europe for its extremely refined language and emphasis on rare tone colours, allied with hypnotic rhythms.
