After seven years of running riot in the big wide world of new music, Ensemble Proton Bern is getting ready for a home game! We will play the music of our city and are especially excited to present two world premieres by Jürg Wyttenbach and Christian Henking. Rounding off the programme will be the grand old man of Bernese music composition, Heinz Holliger. Together, these three award-winning composers have received many of the highest musical accolades: the Music Prize of Canton Berne, the Art Prize Basel, the Composers’ Prize of the Association of Swiss Musicians, the Ernst von Siemens Music Prize and the Swiss Grand Award for Music.
